How a short video can push you up the SERPs
We recently completed a SERPs audit for one of our clients who was not achieving the search engine rankings they needed. The client Data Recovery Specialists were hovering around the fifth position for the keyword ‘data recovery’. With 5,400 searches every month on Google for this top spot, they needed to push their ranking up to third.
A full website audit determined that there were no problems with the website, nor were there any issues with the ongoing SEO optimisation. To be more competitive, it was apparent that content would be the key. With video becoming an important tool in the SEO arsenal, we commissioned Fink Digital to create a short promotional video.
The video is hosted on YouTube, but is embedded in an iFrame. Optimised with meta data and appropriate tags, we built an advertising campaign with only a small budget to push traffic to the video. Within days Google had crawled the website and the inclusion of the video had pushed the website to second in the SERPs!
